Lower taxes could make island‑hopping affordable again – experts
Aviation experts in Barbados argue that lower taxes could make island-hopping affordable again for ordinary Caribbean travellers. Among them is Captain Don Chee-A-Tow, an aviation consultant who is also France's honorary consul to Barbados. The claim is that steep levies have pushed short regional flights beyond the reach of many residents. Cutting those charges, the experts say, would reopen affordable travel between neighbouring islands.
