Rural road link join main Highlands Highway in Wapenamanda District
A rural road in Wapenamanda District now connects to the main Highlands Highway in Papua New Guinea. The link gives communities in the area a direct route onto the country's key arterial road. Easier access should help people move produce and travel between the district and larger centres. Details on the project's cost and construction timeline were not included in the initial report.
