UNESCO marks International Day of Nomadic Heritage

Today, September 22, UNESCO is marking the International Day of Nomadic Heritage for the first time. The day is intended to draw global attention to the rich cultural heritage of nomadic peoples, their contribution to the development of human civilization and intercultural dialogue, and the transmission of knowledge, traditions and crafts.
