Man jailed 15 years for stabbing woman to death with arrow after she tried to stop him confronting her friend
Mtchona Gonjo Macheso, 26, will serve 15 years in prison for killing a woman with a sharp arrow in Malawi. The attack happened when the woman stepped in to defend her friend from a confrontation Macheso was intent on having. The High Court sitting in Chiradzulu District convicted him of manslaughter under a plea agreement, which spared him a murder trial and a potentially heavier sentence.
