'Please do the right thing': Yishun durian stall releases CCTV footage, appeals for return of staff member's phone

A durian stall in Yishun has appealed to a man who allegedly took a staff member's mobile phone to return it, after the act was captured on CCTV.Sharing a video of the incident on its Facebook page on Sunday (Sept 20), the stall, Durian Lah, said it was giving the man a chance to return the phone, warning that it would otherwise lodge a police report."You stole our staff's mobile phone in broad daylight. We are giving you the opportunity to return it immediately," it wrote."If it is not returned, we will make a police report and provide the relevant CCTV footage and evidence to the authorities. Please do the right thing and return the phone." According to the timestamp on the video, the incident is believed to have occurred at around 6.13pm. The incident took place at the stall's Yishun outlet, reported Stomp.In the footage, a man wearing a white shirt with one hand bandaged can be seen smoking a cigarette while standing near the entrance of the stall.He appears to notice the CCTV camera and paces around the area before allegedly pocketing a mobile phone left on a table and walking away.
