Acer used the IFA trade fair to unveil the DualPlay Mini, a hybrid of a portable game console and a small laptop. The pitch is one device for both play and work, though the design will have to prove it does something neither a handheld nor an ultraportable manages on its own. Whether buyers want that overlap is exactly the question the concept raises.
