A new Heritage Minute from Canada pays tribute to Gander, Newfoundland, and its role in the days after the 9/11 attacks, released just ahead of the anniversary. The town famously took in thousands of stranded airline passengers when flights were grounded in 2001. The film's debut comes before a September 11 visit to Gander by U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra. He will be joined by other officials and some of the passengers who were welcomed there 25 years ago.
