New Zealand will see a trial of two-way electric vehicle chargers rolled out around the country. The technology, known as vehicle-to-grid, lets a parked EV pull electricity from the grid and then feed it back out again. Those running the pilot want to learn how the latest two-way charging technology can open up access to energy storage for New Zealand.
