Police in the capital were alerted on the evening of September 30 that a person lay unconscious on the roof of a residential block. The building is located in the Centru sector of the city. When officers reached the rooftop, they found the lifeless body of a 50-year-old woman. The general police inspectorate confirmed the discovery in a preliminary statement. An initial assessment concluded that the woman had thrown herself from one of the building's upper floors. Her partner, described in the report as her cohabiting boyfriend, is due to be detained as the inquiry advances. Investigators have yet to explain the circumstances that led her to the roof that night.
