The UN's World Meteorological Organization said on Thursday that El Niño has become firmly established and will strengthen over the coming months. It put the probability of the event lasting until February 2027 at close to one hundred percent. The agency issued a fresh warning that the phenomenon will considerably alter rainfall patterns around the world. Moroccan coverage of the alert is asking what the shift could mean for the kingdom's own rain season and water reserves.
