Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, has launched a document called the Senior Citizens' Loyalty Charter. She presented it on Thursday to mark International Day of Older Persons. The charter spells out what government bodies and individuals owe to the country's elderly. Its stated purpose is to turn values of loyalty and appreciation into clear principles that protect older people's rights and standing.
