Torrential thunderstorms have battered parts of the Middle Atlas, sending flash floods through the area and leaving heavy damage behind. The daily Al Massae reported that floodwater submerged homes in the Oued Ifrane commune, causing severe damage and material losses for the families living there. Its Friday and weekend coverage devoted much of its space to the disaster and the hardship residents now face. Other papers carried little on the story, according to the review.
