Fly 748 is participating in the Fourth KEPRO Annual Circular Packaging Conference in Nairobi, joining businesses, policymakers and environmental stakeholders for discussions on sustainable packaging, recycling and resource efficiency. The airline is exhibiting at the conference at Hyatt Regency Nairobi in Westlands, where delegates are exploring practical ways to strengthen Kenya’s circular economy. Held under the theme “Sustainable Packaging for a Resilient Future: Innovation. Accountability. Impact,” the gathering brings together government representatives, development partners, academics, recyclers, investors and civil society. Fly 748 said its participation provides an opportunity to engage with organisations attending the conference, showcase its domestic scheduled services and learn from discussions on improving sustainability across business operations. George Oduor, Head of Scheduled Services at Fly 748, said responsible waste management and efficient use of resources were becoming increasingly important to businesses. “We recognise that responsible waste management and resource efficiency are increasingly part of responsible business. We are keen to learn, collaborate and identify practical solutions that can strengthen sustainability across our operations and supply chain,” said Oduor. The conference is examining packaging innovation, recovery and recycling, alongside the partnerships needed to support a circular economy in which materials remain in use for longer. According to the organisers, Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir is expected to attend as chief guest. Environment and Climate Change Principal Secretary Dr Festus Ng’eno is also among the expected dignitaries. Fly 748’s involvement supports KEPRO’s efforts to create a platform for knowledge sharing and cooperation across sectors. The airline said the exhibition would allow it to connect with delegates and identify opportunities to learn from other businesses. Fly 748 is the domestic scheduled service of 748 Air Services, an aviation company with more than three decades of operational experience serving the humanitarian, natural resource and government sectors.
