A group of nearly 100 Vietnamese tourists escaped a flash flood in Nepal because their departure was pushed back by four hours. One traveler said that if they had set out a few hours earlier, they would have been swept away by the water. After the scare, the group made it back to Kathmandu and then spent three days working out a new route onward.
