Ukraine reports that eight Indonesian citizens were recruited by the Russian military to fight in the war against it. One of the eight is believed to be a resident of Depok in West Java. It is still unclear how the recruitment took place or where the men are now. The claim has drawn notice in Indonesia because it links ordinary nationals to a distant battlefield.
