Five remanded for murder of 23-year-old Corentyne labourer
Five relatives have been remanded to prison over the death of 23-year-old labourer Chittesh Sukhai. Sukhai, who lived in Friendship Village on the Corentyne, was fatally chopped on Monday. Those charged include 47-year-old housewife Zynette Baichu, her sons Mohan Narine, 22, and construction worker Gowcharran Narine, 26, along with Mahendra Budhram, 29, and 19-year-old Kumar. A court sent all five back into custody on Friday.
