Police investigating teen seen throwing bag containing ice cream onto Cove LRT tracks

A 17-year-old is being investigated by the police for his alleged involvement in a case of rash act at Cove LRT station in Punggol on Sept 27.AsiaOne had reported on Oct 1 that the boy was filmed hurling a bag towards the tracks at the said station.A member of the public questioned what the bag may have contained, and that if it posed safety issues for LRT operations. SBS told AsiaOne in its reply then that it does not take matters of public safety lightly and have lodged a police report. The transport operator added that the individual was part of a group of five, four of whom had not tapped in at the fare gates when they entered the station.
