Covid-19 vaccine added to Singapore's national immunisation schedule from Oct 12
Covid-19 vaccination will be added to Singapore’s national childhood and adult immunisation schedules from Oct 12, with updated vaccines to be rolled out at more than 600 GP clinics, all polyclinics and mobile vaccination sites. The move is aimed at keeping Covid-19 vaccination accessible and affordable as the virus continues to circulate and pose a risk of severe disease, particularly among older and medically vulnerable people, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Wednesday (Oct 7).Those recommended to receive the vaccine include people aged 60 and above, medically vulnerable individuals aged six months and above, and residents of aged care facilities.Healthcare workers and people living or working with medically vulnerable individuals are also encouraged to get vaccinated to help protect those around them. Those aged six months and above who wish to receive the Covid-19 vaccine may continue to do so, MOH said.Updated XFG Moderna/Spikevax and XFG Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty vaccines, which have been approved by the Health Sciences Authority, will be available from Oct 12.
