Ministry of Commerce recalls 2,987 Grand Cherokee vehicles due to airbag defect
RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce announced the recall of 2,987 Grand Cherokee vehicles, model years 2023 and 2024, due to a programming defect in the Occupant Protection Control (ORC) unit. The defect may delay the activation of the side airbags in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.The ministry urged owners of the affected vehicles to contact the local dealer, Petromin Stellantis, at the toll-free number (8003030040) to have the necessary updates performed free of charge.Owners can check whether their vehicle’s chassis number is included in the recall campaign through the Defective Products Recall Center website (http://Recalls.sa).
