Space enthusiasts in Turkey have been handed an open invitation to one of the field's biggest international events. Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that the Public Day of the 77th International Astronautical Congress will welcome all comers. The gathering, known in short as IAC 2026, regularly draws space specialists from around the world. Kacır's call was aimed at anyone with an interest in space and technology, regardless of profession or age. His message was that anyone curious about the field should feel free to come. Public days at congresses of this kind typically feature exhibits, talks and the chance to meet astronauts and engineers. For the ministry, the open day doubles as a way to draw younger audiences toward science.
