A 30-year-old female motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a taxi crashed into her motorcycle near Tampines Mall on Friday (Sept 4) afternoon. Dashcam footage of the incident from one of the motorcyclists, which was shared in the Telegram group SGRoad Blocks / Traffic News, shows the dashcam rider and another motorcyclist travelling straight, with the latter slightly ahead, when a yellow ComfortDelGro taxi makes a right turn from the opposite direction.The taxi then collides with the motorcycle in front, causing the rider to fall off her bike.The impact sends her flying onto the road, while the second motorcyclist manages to brake just in time.In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted at about 4.15pm to a road traffic accident at the junction of Tampines Avenue 4 and Tampines Central 5.The female motorcyclist was taken conscious to Changi General Hospital.A 74-year-old male taxi driver is assisting with ongoing police investigations. AsiaOne has contacted ComfortDelGro for comment. [[nid:743286]]
