Indonesia closed out the week with a trophy and a legal verdict. The national football team won the FIFA ASEAN Cup, a regional crown that set off celebrations among supporters across the country and gave the squad one of the biggest prizes in Southeast Asian football. Politics supplied the sharper headlines. The Constitutional Court rejected a lawsuit challenging Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's diploma, effectively ending a case that critics had kept alive long after he took office. Petitioners had pushed the court to reexamine the academic credentials he presented during his rise in national politics, but the judges saw no grounds to proceed. The ruling removes a long-running irritant from the public agenda. Together, the title win and the court decision frame this week's photo roundup from Indonesian media.
