Çıralı Sahili'nde koruma çalışmaları kum zambaklarını artırdı
Work to protect sea turtles on Çıralı beach in Kemer, Antalya, has produced a side benefit for the sand lily, a delicate flower that grows in the coastal dunes. Counts that once stayed between three and five plants have grown steadily over the last three years. The flowers have since spread across much of the shoreline. The measures introduced for turtle nesting, which cut down on foot and vehicle traffic and keep the dunes undisturbed, give the sand lilies room to bloom and seed. Çıralı has long been a reference point for turtle conservation, with volunteers guarding nests through the summer season. The return of the sand lily shows that protecting one species can lift others sharing the same habitat. The flower, with white petals that open in the evening, is now part of what draws visitors to the beach.
Antalya'nın Kemer ilçesindeki Çıralı Sahili'nde deniz kaplumbağalarını korumaya yönelik çalışmalar, kum zambaklarının sayısında da artış sağladı. Önceki yıllarda sayıları 3-5 arasında kalan kum zambakları, uygulanan koruma önlemlerinin ardından son üç yılda sahilin büyük bölümüne yayıldı.
