Sturm Graz left the Austrian capital with a 2-0 away win in a match that had plenty going for it. Diakite scored both goals for the Styrians, and his double proved the difference in an eventful contest. A disputed penalty scene added a layer of controversy to the afternoon. The result keeps Sturm firmly in fourth place in the table. Austria Wien, on the other hand, remain on just seven points from eight matches and sit tenth. The home side's poor form has left supporters with little to cheer so far this season. Sturm, by contrast, head into the next round with their position strengthened.
