Drogheda Wolves opened their home schedule with a win that had plenty of drama in it. Daniel Ayoade stood out as the Wolves got past KCYMS in their Domino's Men's Division One fixture. The two sides traded blows for long spells and the game stayed in the balance for most of the way. KCYMS kept pushing in the closing stages, yet the visiting challenge came up just short. Ayoade's influence told at the moments that mattered and helped his side get over the line. Taking the home opener gives the Wolves a useful early boost in Division One. Both teams will be back in action soon, with Drogheda hoping to build on this result.
