A landslide buried a man while he was digging a well in Lebak, Banten. The victim has been identified as Deni. He had been working on a well roughly 15 meters deep when the soil gave way. The collapse left him trapped inside the hole. A search and rescue team moved in to reach him. Crews are carrying out the evacuation with care in the interest of everyone's safety. Hand-dug wells of that depth are common work in parts of Indonesia. Loose earth around such sites poses a real danger, and this incident shows why.
