People living in Drogheda are being invited to have their say on the town's new Community Safety Plan. The consultation asks residents to help shape how safety issues are identified and dealt with in the Louth town. Plans like this normally spell out how the local authority, An Garda Síochána and community organisations divide up the work of responding to problems on the ground. Input from the public tends to centre on matters such as antisocial behaviour, street lighting and how safe people feel going about their day. Feedback collected during the process is usually reflected in the priorities that make it into the final version of the plan. Anyone in Drogheda with views on safety in their own neighbourhood is being encouraged to use the opportunity.
