Fire contained at Sabah Al-Salem apartment building; two treated for asphyxiation
Firefighters brought an apartment fire under control this morning at a residential building in Sabah Al-Salem, according to the Kuwait Fire Force. The KFF announced the response in a statement posted on its X account. Teams from the Mishref and Al-Qurain fire centres reached the scene and contained the blaze. Two people were treated for asphyxiation after inhaling smoke from the fire. The force did not report other casualties in the initial statement. The announcement gave no word on what started the fire or how badly the affected apartments were damaged. Residential fires remain a recurring concern in Kuwait's densely built apartment districts, where crews generally move fast to stop flames spreading between units.
