Turkish shoppers have already moved into November mode, sizing up when the discount season kicks off. Black Friday, sold locally under the name 'Efsane Cuma', sits at the center of the chatter. The event keeps its American roots, falling the day after Thanksgiving in late November. Stores usually stretch the single date into a week of offers, sometimes longer. With mid-October now past, attention has swung to the calendar and the exact start date. Deal hunters have begun trading tips and watching for early teaser campaigns. For retailers, the season stands as the heaviest selling stretch before the year closes out.
