Train manufacturers are pushing to halt a giant tender covering trains for Prague and Central Bohemia, and they want regional councilors to hold off. Next week the Central Bohemian Region's assembly will debate what rail transport should look like over the following three decades. The contract, worth more than 150 billion crowns, has already drawn complaints about its design and the transparency of the selection process. After several tips to the antitrust office, the Fair Rail association, which groups some of the bidding manufacturers, has joined the dispute over which trains will carry passengers after 2029.
