Chilean Chamber of Deputies speaker Alessandri backed the government's response to Javier Milei's comments, calling La Moneda's reaction sufficient since the Argentine president made his remarks at a private gathering. He was less forgiving about Milei's manner, though. 'Manners matter in politics,' he said. On the substance, he added that people can disagree with Salvador Allende's policies while still treating the former Chilean president with respect.
