A senior Russian envoy says Ukrainian threats against civil aviation are meant to disrupt contacts between Moscow and Washington. Rodion Miroshnik argued there is a constant push, driven mainly by European capitals, to cut off any links between Russia and the United States. In his view, the warnings to airlines fit into that wider campaign to keep the two governments apart.
