SPC raises petrol and diesel prices, rounding up week of price hikes by major fuel companies
Major fuel companies in Singapore have all raised fuel prices this week, with Chinese state-owned SPC being the last to do so on Friday (Oct 16) morning. In a price board update posted at 11.30am, SPC announced a 3-cent increase to its posted prices for 92-, 95-, 98-octane petrol and diesel. The increase almost mirrors price hikes posted by Caltex and Shell on Monday, Esso on Tuesday, and Sinopec on Thursday, except that the quartet did not raise the price of diesel.SPC, however, was also the only major fuel company here to have diesel priced below $4 per litre prior to its latest hike.
