Trots Trumps tullar ökar svenska Eleiko försäljningen i USA
Swedish strength equipment maker Eleiko has kept expanding in the United States despite the tariffs Donald Trump introduced. When the duties came in, the company's American business looked vulnerable. One and a half years later the tally is mixed: profitability has been pressed, yet sales in the USA are growing faster than on any other market the company serves. Chief executive Erik Blomberg says the firm decided not to retreat from the American market. The tariffs have eaten into margins, but demand from across the Atlantic has continued to climb. Eleiko's experience points to one way mid-sized exporters have answered trade barriers, by staying put and absorbing the cost.
