Iranian athletes finished the opening day of the 2026 Asian Para Games with eight medals. The haul breaks down into three gold, three silver and two bronze. The published report names the athletes who took each medal across the day's events. It also carries the program for the second day, when the Iranian delegation hopes to add to the total. Early results tend to shape how the national medal tables develop through the remainder of the Games. Attention now turns to whether the gold count can grow on day two.
