Στα αζήτητα τα ξενόγλωσσα τμήματα του ΑΠΘ: Χωρίς φοιτητές οκτώ από τα εννέα
Eight of the nine tuition-paying foreign-language undergraduate programs that Aristotle University of Thessaloniki planned to launch this year have failed to attract a single student. The ninth program is running with a trimmed-down structure. What was billed as internationalization through fee-based courses has turned into a fiasco. University administrators expected foreign applicants to fill the new departments and bring income. Interest, however, proved far below the numbers needed to open classes. The empty programs have already cost money to set up and staff. Questions are being raised inside the university about the pricing and the promotion of the courses. The setback casts doubt on the wider push to sell Greek public degrees to foreign students.
