The first arrests have started in Tirana after a protest outside the Court of Appeal turned violent. Demonstrators marching through the streets of the capital stopped in front of the court building during the rally. Several among them smashed the glass panels and the doors of the courthouse. Notices posted at the site were torn down and set on fire. Footage from the scene shows the extent of the destruction left behind. Police moved in to detain several participants while the attack on the building was still under way. The exact number of those arrested has not been announced.
