A court overturned a previous ruling to convict a former mayor from Salta. Atta Gerala, the former communal head of Coronel Juan Solá, had been previously acquitted. The Federal Chamber annulled that sentence. He was involved in stealing rails and smuggling them into Bolivia. His son also participated in the operation, which used clandestine border crossings.
