Investigators from Bukit Aman's anti-money laundering unit have frozen assets worth RM4.3 billion and seized another RM1 billion. The actions came out of a series of probes into what Malaysia's police call 'corporate mafia' crime networks. Those investigations stretched from late 2022 through September. A freeze stops anyone from touching the money while cases are built, and seizures can takecash and property off the board entirely.
