Enzo Maresca will face AEK as a coach for the first time, but the Greek club is already part of his story. Back in his playing days, Maresca scored a goal against AEK. He also ended up on the winning side of a tie, since his team went through at AEK's expense. Those memories are the kind that fans pull out of the archive before a matchup like this. AEK now has to deal with him from a new angle, as the man drawing up the game plan rather than the one executing it. The history between the coach and the club gives an otherwise ordinary fixture an extra line of interest.
