Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş traveled to Bishkek for the 15th General Assembly of TÜRKPA, the parliamentary body uniting Turkic-speaking states. Before the plenary opened, he joined the Assembly Council meeting held in the Kyrgyz capital. In his address, he described the shared historical experience of the Turkic nations as a resource that should not sit idle. He argued that the human bonds between these peoples, together with the bloc's economic and cultural potential, give members real means to shape the coming years. Carrying the Turkic world's civilizational claim forward, he said, requires new achievements rather than slogans. Those achievements, in his view, are possible only with contributions from every member of the family. The Bishkek meeting is set to define the assembly's agenda for the period ahead.
