The report into the Caulfield Cup horse death has been released, but we need more information

We now know, thanks to a speedy and thorough stewards’ investigation, the direct cause of a devastating horse death in the aftermath of Saturday’s Caulfield Cup. But more information is needed to complete the picture – and protect racing’s flimsy social licence.
