Зеленский: гарантии безопасности для Украины должны включать армию, ЕС и НАТО
Full story
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said security guarantees for Ukraine must include the country’s armed forces, the European Union and NATO. He presented the military as a central part of any arrangement intended to deter another major invasion. Zelensky also placed the EU and NATO within the wider system of protection Ukraine is seeking. His wording makes the country’s own defense role a condition of the broader guarantees he wants. The statement did not set out the legal form or timetable of the proposed guarantees. In broad terms, it calls for a Western-backed framework built around defense, alliances and the EU’s involvement.
