Ash from the erupting Anak Krakatau has spread as far as parts of Jakarta, according to Indonesia's BMKG weather agency. The volcano in the Sunda Strait is throwing out volcanic ash that wind is carrying toward the capital. The agency's update confirms the ash cloud is no longer confined to the area around the mountain.
