Franclim Carvalho has been appointed the new head coach of Sporting de Braga. The announcement places the Portuguese manager in charge of the club’s first team. His first scheduled task is to lead the squad at Tuesday’s training session. The report did not say how long his contract runs or which members of the coaching staff will remain. It also gave no update on transfers, injuries or the club’s targets for the season. Carvalho’s immediate job is to begin working with the players already at Braga.
