Estonian poet and translator Kalyu Kruusa has died at the age of 53. His real name was Jaanus Valk, and he was born on 10 October 1973. He died on 20 October 2026. Jaanus Urmet announced the death in a Facebook group devoted to Estonian literature. The group is called 'Eesti kirjandus läbi aegade,' or 'Estonian Literature Through the Ages.' The announcement did not provide details of the cause of death.
