Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has approved a draft protocol amending the customs code agreement of the Eurasian Economic Union. The protocol includes changes identified as priorities by the EAEU member states. Its purpose is to resolve practical problems in customs regulation. The draft covers the movement of containers and container trailers, including the use of navigation seals. It also seeks to unify electronic document processing and clarify rules for importing marine-fishery products. Another provision is intended to prevent cases of false transit involving goods. Taken together, the amendments target administrative consistency and fraud prevention in customs trade across the bloc.
