Pien Sanders has ended her career as a Netherlands international hockey player. The 28-year-old defender represented the Dutch national team before deciding to retire from international duty. Sanders will remain active in club hockey rather than leave the sport altogether. She will continue playing for Den Bosch. Her decision closes one chapter while allowing her to keep competing at domestic level. Her future matches will therefore be with Den Bosch rather than the national team.
