A 13-member gang in Sơn Đông is accused of running an extortion scheme involving sexual entrapment. Prosecutors allege that group members seduced several victims and then threatened to report them as rapists unless they paid. The same method was allegedly used against more than one woman. A female department head lost 190,000 VND as a result of the alleged scheme. The case concerns the use of intimate encounters and fabricated criminal accusations to extract payment. The 13 defendants remain before the court, and no conviction has been reported in the case.
