He said the Gemini model worked through videos and photographs that would have taken months to review manually. His comparison covered comments in cafés, on television, on news portals and on social networks. The figure attributed to participation in the protests was just 0.3 percent, far below the amount of commentary elsewhere. Zaloshnja said several analyses had been completed with help from models that would otherwise have required months of manual work. The account did not fully explain how the 0.3 percent figure was calculated or what population it represented. The project demonstrated how automated tools are being used to examine large collections of public comments and protest material.
